Jinn

Privacy policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Draft: this describes how the extension works today. Have a lawyer review it, and update it, before you launch paid plans or list the extension publicly.

What Jinn does

Jinn is a Chrome extension that performs tasks you describe by reading web pages and clicking, typing and navigating on your behalf.

What stays in your browser

What is sent to AI providers

To complete a task, Jinn sends your request and the text of the pages it is working on to the AI provider for the model you chose (currently Google Gemini). That page content may include anything visible on those pages, such as emails or account details, so avoid running Jinn on pages you do not want processed by an AI provider. Google's terms and privacy policy apply to that data. Free-tier API usage may be used by Google to improve its products.

Paid plans (when launched)

When paid plans launch, requests will pass through our servers to the AI provider, and we will store your account email, plan, and usage totals. We will not store the content of the pages you work on. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not see or store your card details.
